Chamber unveils its new logo
(Updated: Thursday, January 25, 2007 9:58 AM PST)
After more than a decade, the Manhattan Beach Chamber has a new logo. It is exciting as we will be seeing the new logo appear in our newsletter, our email blasts, our stationery = website and more. This was a long process brought about by our wonderful Communications Team headed by Cassie Bassolino of Studiotwentytwo, a website design and development firm. The logo team was head by Gloria Balcom of The Next Level Marketing. Several graphic design firms bid on this exciting project and after much thought, it was given to LuAnn Roberto of 411 Graphics and Laura Missioreck of The Graphic Element. These two worked very hard to create a wonderful new logo for the Chamber that will last us for many years. We look forward to having our new look out there for all to enjoy.

A New Look in the New Year for the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce
(Updated: Thursday, February 1, 2007 9:58 AM PST)
Manhattan Beach is a warm and inviting beach community and its Chamber of Commerce strives to promote all its member businesses. So, way back when, a sand dollar was a creative and apt choice for a logo.
And – that’s not going to change – though it is going to be getting an update.
When the new year arrives, the new look arrives as well. A new logo and an updated and redesigned Web site for the Chamber will be the first steps. And, as new materials are reordered – letterhead, brochures, etc – the new look will be incorporated into the new printed material.
It was two active Chamber members, Laura Missioreck and LuAnn Roberto, who teamed up to create the new logo and look for the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Laura, who owns The Graphic Element in Manhattan Beach, specializes in marketing for new product launches – and that expertise certainly was an asset as she worked on developing this new look for the Chamber.
LuAnn’s company, 411 Graphics, has provided logos, corporate brochures and other designs for companies all over Southern California. LuAnn’s experience in corporate imaging allowed her to find just the right update for the Chamber’s new look.
Laura and LuAnn have worked on other Chamber image pieces as well. LuAnn designed the marketing materials for the current Women in Business Logo. And Laura created the much acclaimed Sports & Entertainment Committee logo, as well as other materials for the committee. But the redesign of this logo is the biggest team project they’ve worked on yet for the Chamber.
So look for the new look in the new year. We think you’ll like the way it reflects our friendly and sophisticated beach business community.
