What's New?
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
The Graphic Element was recently chosen to re-design two brands of high quality imported Italian Olive Oil. Our design challenge was to represent an authentic Sicilian look and feel to the label while conveying the quality of the brand. For the PDP Brand of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a photo representation of an Olive grove was chosen for the main focus of the design. For the Segesta Sicilian Olive Oil Brand, an original illustration was created to represent this specific area of Sicily while maintaining the authentic old world charm of the area.
Simply Notecards
Receiving custom made notecards as a gift is an extra special treat, especially in this electronic age of email and instant messaging. Recently we had the pleasure of working with two very creative and talented teachers to bring their idea to life via an e-commerce website dedicated to selling their custom made personalized notecards.
The website was designed to be clean and easy to navigate to allow customers to browse, personalize and purchase cards right online. We built the completely custom shopping cart, using the latest Content Management Software (CMS), so our client would be able to maintain and update the site on their own without having to incur additional development costs. International Surf Festival
Three of southern California's finest beaches (Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo) come alive each year with more than 3000 fit competitors and over 100,000 spectators. America's best beach athletes compete in a series of volleyball matches, beach runs, swimming races and, of course, surfing competitions during the annual three day event known as the International Surf Festival.
2009 marks the fifth year that The Graphic Element has the honor of designing the Official Surf Festival T-shirt worn by the competitors in every event. Check out the history of event T-shirts.

Castle Importing
With years of experience processing hard Italian cheeses to supply the food service industry, Castle Importing is bringing their quality Italian cheeses to the retail market with the upcoming launch of the Pastore brand.
The Graphic Element was chosen to develop the design and packaging of this new brand. We developed the logo and farm illustration to be consistent with the "classic" message of old world Italy, as well as quality and experience. We designed labels and plastic containers for four distinct flavors from Asiago to classic Parmesan, with seven varieties in all. Read more about Pastore Classic Italian Cheeses.
Christopher Ranch Garlic
For more than 50 years, Christopher Ranch has been producing garlic from seed originally brought over from France and Italy. It is the country's number one family owned garlic producer, shipping over 60 million pounds of fresh California garlic each year. Christopher Ranch, is the only grower/packer that produces commercially grown Heirloom Garlic in the United States.
This spring, we were fortunate enough to be involved in marketing Christopher Ranch Heirloom Garlic to the food service industry. Our Food Consultant team consisted of Mike Gilles, The Growth Group, Steve Stallman, Stallman Marketing and Laura Missioreck, The Graphic Element. Together, we created a powerful marketing brochure, designed the logotype for "All Garlic is NOT Created Equal™", and with the photographic expertise of Brian Leatart, art directed a stunning ad for Food Arts Magazine. The Graphic Element has also been involved in designing graphics for their trade show booths as well as other marketing projects.
The Remedy Pharm
Much more than a simple pharmacy, this new entity is a sustainably built, feng shui-inspired oasis of health, incorporating both alternative and traditional compounding and a full range of health solutions. The building itself features biodegradable floor coverings and recycled fabric and wood, and 90 percent of the merchandise is organic. One-on-one service from The Remedy Pharm's highly trained staff is 100 percent caring and professional.
We had the unbelieveable opportunity of being chosen to work on this project from the very beginning. We were involved in the naming process, created the logo design, which has carried over into all printed marketing materials, store promotions and their original website.
We recently helped them plan the celebration of their grand opening in January 2008 and it was a huge success, gaining interest from many doctors and health minded consumers alike.
Our future plans include continued marketing strategies to get the word out to the south bay area and beyond - that there is a new type of pharmacy in town with remedies for all your health care needs.
Manhattan Beach Little League
In 1958, the Manhattan Beach Little League started with 242 boys and now the league has an average of 1,700 players, girls and boys alike! The spring season opening day always begins with nothing less than a parade through the downtown area ending at American Martyrs Church. This year it will mark the 50th Anniversary of the league and The Graphic Element has participated in making this celebration a memorable one.
We have designed the league t-shirt and sweatshirt merchandise for the last 3 years, but this year our expertise was called upon to design the 50th Anniversary logo, Opening day posters, window stickers and street banners and even tattoos for the opening day carnival.
It's great to be involved in such a long standing community tradition!
